We are a small, personal salon, passionate about making you feel pampered and pretty darn good
— I was Born and raised in California, USA for 30 years before moving to Canada, in 2020. I have a genuine love and passion for what I do and my own personal journey to happiness and general wellbeing has motivated me to open a safe space for people to come and feel warm, positive energy while taking the time out for themselves. Self-love and self-care are an inspirational draw for what I want to offer and achieve with House of Frizz.
After 13 years in my craft, I have passionately become a Master Colourist, Barber, Curly Hair Specialist, IBE® Elite Artist, Master Extension Specialist, Hairskeen Artist, and Luxurious Lived-in Hair Enthusiast! Encouraging Stylists and people from all walks of life, helping them find their uniqueness that makes them thrive.
If I’m not creating masterpieces, as a single mom you can find me with my kiddos! I have a Son (18) and a Daughter (9). I enjoy the Outdoors, Fashion, My Cats, Interior Design, Discovering Amazing Food, Standup Comedy, Architecture, and Music.
Destiny Livingston, Founder
— I discovered my love for hair as a young girl watching my mom do hair out of our home salon. I could see that she genuinely enjoyed her job and loved making her clients look and feel good.
Before becoming a hairstylist I came to Guelph and completed a degree in History and Studio Art. I love that I’ve been able to transfer my knowledge and skills in the visual arts and apply them to my career in hair.
At the salon I am dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all of my guests, and creating a warm and welcoming space where everyone feels free to be themselves. I pride myself in thorough consultations taking into account face shape, colouring, and daily routine to help create the best hair style for each unique client.
When I am not busy behind the chair or doing creative projects, I love spending time with family and friends, and being my Sporty Spice self, playing hockey, snowboarding, or golfing. I look forward to meeting all of you beautiful souls soon!
Mandy Savoy, Independent Stylist
— I grew up in Owen Sound, Ontario and attended college in Toronto, Ontario for Personal Security & Recreation and Leisure Services. I grew up playing hockey and rugby, and those experiences really shaped who I am today. Team sports taught me the value of hard work, staying grounded, and connecting with others – and I carry that with me in everything I do. I’ve always had a strong sense of helping people and making sure they feel comfortable, which is why I love what I do in the salon.
I take pride in keeping things organized and tidy, and I believe a clean, welcoming space makes all the difference. Whether it’s helping you book a fresh new look or just being a listening ear, I’m here to make sure clients leave feeling their absolute best.
When I’m not in the salon, you can probably find me spending quality time with friends or out on the water – I can’t resist a good jetski ride in the summer! I’m all about finding that balance between work and fun, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
